Here are some things we have worked on since the beginning of the semester:

  • Divided up the members into teams first few weeks of school.
  • Trello, Discord, GitHub and Google Drive access were released.
  • Preliminary Design Matrix was tasked.
  • Preliminary Design Matrix presentation day was a blast.
  • Theoretical Designs picked and now designing in SolidWorks.
  • Bill of Materials slowly but surely being filled out.
  • December 4th is when the Preliminary Design Report is due.

We are proud and excited about the progress this team has made so far and look forward to building on our momentum, tackling new challenges in the months ahead!

"The University Rover Challenge (URC) is the premier robotics competition for college students. Held annually in the desert of southern Utah in the United States, URC challenges student teams to design and build the next generation of Mars rovers that will one day work alongside astronauts exploring the Red Planet.

URC was launched in 2006, with competitions being held every summer since 2007. URC consistently draws an international field of the most talented and promising students around. If you're a college student interested in robotics and Mars exploration, the only question left is...

Are you up for the Challenge?!”
